Overview

L4NI ("we", "us", or "our") operates the L4NI beauty inventory platform at l4ni.io and the L4NI Product Saver Chrome extension. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data.

By using L4NI you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

Information we collect

Account information

When you create an account we collect your email address and the profile information you choose to provide (name, business name, profession, city, social media handle, and profile photo).

Product and inventory data

We store the beauty product information you add to your kit, including product names, brands, categories, shades, expiry dates, stock levels, images, and reorder URLs. This data belongs to you and is never shared with third parties.

Client information

If you use the client management features, we store the client names and any contact details you voluntarily provide. We also store records of which products you have assigned to each client.

Affiliate click data

When a client clicks a product link from your shared page, we log the click including the timestamp, the product, the client share token, and the destination URL. This data is used to power your click analytics dashboard.

Affiliate program credentials

If you connect affiliate programs (Amazon Associates, LTK, ShopMy, Rakuten), we store your affiliate tags and profile URLs to construct affiliate links when clients shop your shared products.

Chrome extension

The L4NI Product Saver Chrome extension reads product information (name, brand, price, image) from retailer web pages only when you actively click the extension icon. It does not run in the background, does not track your browsing history, and does not collect any data without your explicit action.

The extension stores a session token in Chrome's local storage to keep you logged in. This token is used only to authenticate requests to the L4NI API and is never shared with third parties.

The extension requires broad host permissions (`<all_urls>`) because L4NI users shop across many different retailer websites and we cannot predict which sites you will use. Content is only injected on demand when you click the extension.

How we use your information

• To provide and operate the L4NI platform and extension
• To display your inventory, expiry alerts, and low stock warnings
• To generate personalized product share pages for your clients
• To route affiliate links so you earn commission on client purchases
• To show you click analytics on your shared products
• To send transactional emails (password reset, email confirmation)

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with third parties except as required to operate the service (our database provider Supabase).

Data storage and security

Your data is stored securely using Supabase, which provides row-level security ensuring that each user can only access their own data. All data is transmitted over HTTPS. We do not store payment information — no credit card or billing data passes through our systems.

Your rights

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate data via your profile settings
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Export your inventory data

Cookies

L4NI uses cookies solely for authentication purposes (to keep you logged in). We do not use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes by email or by displaying a notice in the app. Continued use of L4NI after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
